The University of Cumbria, or to be more exact Photography at the University of Cumbria seems to be going from strength to strength. Certainly some interesting work coming out of both the under and post grad courses. Check here.http://cumbriaphotography.ning.com & http://maphotography.ning.com Also good to see work by the people who have been doing the teaching! http://cumbria.ning.com/

I often wonder what might have been had this been available when I was a student. Born and raised in Carlisle I could of been saved from the wrath of Blackpool which took ten years to get out of my system.
I am hoping to get into the students minds soon with a bit of help from JD.Its interesting seeing what the students are getting out of my homeland.. I am expecting great things from this place.
Best,
Marcus.

As I get older I think what a wonderful place to live, make work, and study it must be. You going up there to teach then? I guess that must be where you love of landscape must have been born....
