Getting Bullied By The Guardian.

I suppose I should be flattered that somebody representing a national newspaper thinks that my little blog using the same image as them, is a threat! It's a bit worrying though that their technology correspondent doesn't know how Google images works....... Below an email received from Charles Arthur who writes for The Guardian, God what a news hound!
"Charles has left a new comment on your post "The Whole Dangerous Photographer Saga, Again.........": Hi - you're a photographer, so why are you stealing that photo? Use the one from the Guardian site - we have the rights and you don't. Simple, really. Potentially actionable, if you don't.Charles Arthur, editor, Technology" What a Dick, here's a link to his column as I'd hate for him to throw his "dolly out the pram" http://www.charlesarthur.com/blog/?p=1039#comment-323322
As they used to say on Hill Street Blues,"Be Careful bloggers, there's wankers out there" (or something like that) http://www.hillstreetblues.tv/

Yes, Charles Arthur is a real vigilante sticking up for copyright laws everywhere. The cause would be served a lot better if he wasn't such a jerk.

Yes, he really is a boring childish little man. The Guardian should be proud of the high standards of their staff.....

Guys, what you have to understand is this: one site using one picture isn't a threat. But if everyone does it, it becomes a threat. As for Google images, that's irrelevant; just because it's on the net, doesn't mean it's yours for the taking. But I have a feeling you're not going to listen to this either.

Anne,
At least you've remained dignified, through out this whole debate, myself included, but I hate big Media bullying, what the fuck it had to do with Charles Arthur in the first place I'm not sure.... And now all the sniping on his blog, do me a favour, the mans a fucking circus monkey....
