So much fuss over a cartoon that only likened the president to a monkey (an age old tradition here in the US when it comes to any African American), and then mocked his assassination. I mean, two of the most offensive insults and threats imaginable all in one image- that's gotta be worth something...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, they've issued a lame apology, of sorts- as a result of all the negative press, two days of protest and a threatened boycott.

It's been a tradition here in the UK often at football matches. However here it can carry a prison sentance. I'm pretty sure that had the cartoonist made that here he would have to worry that maybe his summer this year would be spent in "Strangeways"
